When your product reviews go viral!

OK, so... I help a few of my clients with Interaction Marketing.  Everyone always says; "What's that?" Simple question with a simple answer: Interaction Marketing is marketing to people in an interactive way this includes things like social media, Search Engine Marketing, SEO, Reputation Management like reviews, etc.  Well, I recently saw something on Facebook that caught my attention. It was one of those posts that was recommended for a laugh. But, it was about reviews of a product on Amazon. This is really funny. The reviews are now "viral" which means they are being shared like wildfire across Interaction Marketing platforms like Facebook and Twitter. I'd recommend you give it a read if you are interested in a decent laugh. But... I'll bet this product is selling more than they would without their reviews going viral. The product is "Sugar Free Gummy Bears". Check out the reviews on Amazon:  Haribo Sugar Free Gummy Bear Reviews on Amazon

Sometimes in the quiet

It was about twelve years ago that I was working in corporate america. I had only been married for about five and a half years. I had a loving wife and a son who wasn't even two years old yet. I felt secure with my life and we were comfortable. After struggling with the maturing process for most of my short married life I felt secure with where I was with my career, my family and myself. The world world was changing around me. September of that year will be remembered in history as 9/11. I didn't realize the magnitude of the changes that were happening in the world until many years later. But for me the biggest change didn't happen in September, it started in December of 2001. I was a part of a great wave of layoffs that happened across the US. Everything got real quiet. And, the in the quiet I got to thinking and praying. The thinking and praying in that quiet turned into a business of my own. With the exception of an intern here or there I went at it alone for about...

My Kids Do NOT access Social Media

Professionally I'm an Software Developer & Interaction Marketing Consultant. This means that I can & often do develop software like web tools, mobile apps, & ecommerce. This also means that companies hire me to help them get the most effect and best results from their online marketing efforts which include search strategies & Social Media . I understand it & I know how to use it well. However, my favorite job ever is being a dad. My kid are a huge part of my life. Since they were babies there's only been a few times that I've missed tucking them in at night & praying with them. My kids are now 13 & 10 years old. And while they have their own phones, the privilege of this technology has very clear purposes & priorities. #1. So their mom & I can communicate with them when they are not with us (don't answer our calls or text and you loose the phone). #2. So we can locate them quickly whenever they are not with us. Both safety related...

Cutting the Cable

I "cut the cable" in 2009. Initially there were some "set up" costs to bring my equipment up to date to accommodate the set up I had in mind. I wanted to only pay for the content I was really interested in. I was tired of paying way too much each month for a bunch of content we didn't watch. When we did watch television it was via the DVR so we could skip right over the commercials. In this article I'll tell you about the set up that I have found that has worked great for me and my family for the past 4 years or so. We were interested in: Local programming and content on demand. So, we decided to pay only for Netflix because it was and is on demand and commercial free. With the exception of one season of MLS, Netflix is the only paid content we have used for the past 4 years and I don't predict that will change anytime soon. So, what do we watch and how to do we watch it? We watch our local programming including sports, news, and a few broadcast netw...
